London Jewellery Workshop is a fully equipped jewellery making workshop in the heart of Shoreditch in London.

We set up in 2011 to provide a vibrant centre of jewellery making and learning. Our aim is to provide a safe, comfortable and inspiring environment, and to share our passion with others.

Our courses are suitable for all levels and tailored to your needs. With just 6 places per class, students are able to enjoy as much one-to-one tutor time as they need and desire. Our workshop is also available for Workspace hire, Parties & Events.

Nina Gilbey, the owner of London Jewellery Workshop, has been practicing jewellery making & silversmithing since 1993 and has been teaching the subject since 2000.

Nina is passionate about her subject and sharing her knowledge and skills with others. She wanted to create a student centred learning environment that promotes inspiration and creativity.

“Listening to the feedback from my students over the years, I wanted to create
an environment where the learning was student led,” says Nina Gilbey “Learners wanted more tutor attention, a more social experience and an atmosphere of imagination and creativity, without being bound by the need to satisfy funding and educational bodies”.

Learning is a shared experience between the student and the teacher, which can and should benefit both. As jewellery making is such a vast subject, encompassing many skills and techniques, learning the craft can be a lifelong occupation.
